Perpetually finding ways to exist fully.
Our connections to one another is what will get us through this moment. But the disconnections we feel to our own lives and to each other persist from past harms and invalidations. By moving beyond the shame and isolation sustained by capitalism and other constructs of oppression, I pathologize systems and not people. I work to create an environment that affirms a person’s complex humanity with a sense of compassion that is free from judgment or imposed expectations. When we establish secure, honest, and affirming relationships, we have the ability to embrace our full selves and the numerous possibilities of transformation.
I believe that you are deserving of a fulfilling life in a world that affirms a multitude of possibilities. By remaining curious, supporting self-determination, and establishing a relationship that validates your complete self, we will work together on establishing a life you want to live even through the most difficult of times.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for 11 years as a Chicago Public high school teacher. I bring years of experience working with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and dissociation.
